2024 Vermont Elections
In addition to voting in the presidential contest between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris, voters in Vermont will cast ballots for the state’s one congressional district. Voters will also cast a ballot for one of the state’s two Senate seats. The Vermont Senate race is between Republican Gerald Malloy and independent Bernie Sanders, the incumbent. There are also statewide contests for state government offices. The Vermont gubernatorial race is between Republican Phil Scott, the incumbent, and Democrat Esther Charlestin. Also on the ballot is Kevin Hoyt, an independent. The race for lieutenant governor in Vermont is between Democrat David Zuckerman, the incumbent, and Republican John Rodgers. Independent Ian Diamondstone is also on the ballot. Only a handful of states elect the lieutenant governor separately from the governor, and Vermont is one of them. The attorney general contest in Vermont is between Democrat Charity Clark, who is the incumbent, Republican Ture Nelson and Kevin Gustafson, an independent.
